Force=Mass Times Acceleration |
After soccer practice, I asked Jason to kick a soccer ball for me to take a picture of it. I thought that the picture would look best in a panorama of actions. Jason is applying force to the ball by kicking it. The resulting acceleration of the ball is a result of the mass of the ball and the energy put into it by our soccer player. The result of such a force is Jason's ball whizzing out of the picture. The more mass an object has, the more force you need to make it to accelerate. If Jason where to be kicking a brick wall, it would not fly across the field (and he would probably not be smiling as he is in the picture).
