Summary of Michael Faraday
Born on September 22, 1791, Michael Faraday would greatly affect the scientific world by his death on August 25, 1876. Although he ended up an influential man, Faraday grew up poor with little education in South London. He only knew math as advanced as algebra, and what he knew he taught himself from books. From a very young age, Faraday had an acquisitive nature.
When Faraday entered the world of science, he flourished in his findings on electromagnetism which included electromagnetic rotation and electromagnetic reduction. His discoveries helped electricity become useful. Along with succeeding in actual scientific research, many knew him as a great lecturer.
Outside of the scientific world, Faraday married Sarah Barnard on June 12, 1821. He was also a very religious man, belonging to the Sandemanian denomination of Christianity. Because of his scientific influence, when Faraday passed away, he was buried at Hampton court.
